New Feature - Weekly Round up

Each week will be doing a round up of how all the Hebburn Town Junior teams got on over the weekend.

U7s
A great performance from Juniors Madrid saw then narrowly loose to Harton & Westoe. They created loads of chances with some good efforts from Josh, Daniel and Liam. A superb 2nd half save from Ethan kept the game alive and the messi-esque skills from Alex and Flynn were a joy to watch.

Fantastic match on Saturday  at Temple Park- el classico between u7 Gold Barca and Gold Madrid. Lots of great football on show, great skills and teamwork. ,thoroughly enjoyed by players, coaches and parents. Really summed up what our club is all about.

On Sunday Gold Madrid were in action again, travelling to Gateshead for a series of development friendlies. The boys did really well, playing the Hebburn Town way and making lots of new friends.

A great effort from Hebburn Blues Madrid on Saturday in the Winter League, with great team work from all. One of those games were the team didn't have the rub of the green, hitting the post 3 times through Cory Swift. Ramin scoring a goal and a great man of the match performance from birthday girl Emma selected by the coaches. Parents man of the match Ramin.

U8s
In The PinPoint Sunday Alpha League Blues Barca came up against a very strong Walker Whites. With only 5 players available the lads pushed on and worked as hard as ever to earn a well-deserved 3-1 lead. With almost 50 minutes played altogether the lads tired towards the end and Walker pulled back to earn a 3-3 draw. An outstanding game for all to watch and the lads should be proud of themselves!!!

Blues Madrid came up against an excellent Willington Blues team in the Britannia League this week, we couldn't get into the game 1st half & with some world class saves from Max Arnald it kept us in with a shout. Although we played better 2nd half & pulled a goal back the game ended in defeat.

Golds Barcas first game back in 2016 and one the lads were relishing to get into. The focus on the game was shape & possession and the boys did themselves proud. They played out from the back, made some great decisions and were rewarded with only their second win of the season, 4-1.

Golds Madrid played out a hard fought 1-1 draw  against a strong Hetton Jrs Milan in the Russell Foster League at Farringdon. Gold Madrid came from behind to draw the game in which two new players moving from Juniors Barca enjoyed great débuts in which they did not look out of their depth playing some great football with their new team mates.

Junior Barca played Whitburn Panthers in the League this week, they came up against a strong team on the day, Juniors down to 5 players for the game due to illness they played some great stuff in the first half keeping the score level, only to tire towards the end of the game ended up losing but all players walked off with heads held high.

Juniors Madrid came out 4-3 winners in a thrilling game with Hetton Juniors Inter. Despite taking an early lead the boys found themselves 3-2 down with 5 minutes to go but showed character to turn things around with 2 late goals.

RF Premier Division - Blues v Hetton Inter finished 3-2 to Hebburn. After a really slow start we went on to dominate the game and were 3-0 up with 5 minutes to go, but conceding 2 goals in two minutes put the Managers and Parents heart's to the test. Good game and great result.

RF Division One - Golds showed great character and determination to twice come from behind and run out 3-2 winners against a very physical Washington United. We played some great football but were twice caught out by Washington's direct style of play, however the lads kept playing their game and managed to secure the win.
Juniors lost 2-1 in a really close game against Houghton Albion who had taken a 2 goal lead. We kept on going and managed to pull a goal back through Callum Pounder. Hebburn had a chance of equalising which went narrowly wide. Alfie Little had a great 2nd half in goal.

U10s
The U10 Golds won again 2-0 in another hard game. The lads played some good passing football and got there rewards with goals from Cameron McIntosh and a rocket strike from Joseph Diamond. Man the match was Daniel Hanley and there was also a excellent debut from new signing Jack Hanley.

U13s
Russell Foster Premier Division
After an enforced 6 week lay off the Blues came back with a bang away to a tough St. Mary's side. An early goal from Wilson settled the nerves and Doughney got another midway through the first half. St Mary's could have been level at break but for the bar and some fine saves from Hanratty. Convrey hit a brilliant free kick and Doughney hit another 3 in the second half.

U14s
Durham County FA Premier Division
The Blues went another week without a game due to water logged pitch. It's been about 6 weeks since they have played.

The Juniors maintained top spot with a 1-1 draw away to Hild Park Magpies. Considering it was an awful pitch the lads done great and really should have won the game by a couple of goals.

Durham County FA First Division
The Golds also had a water logged pitch, so no game.

Russell Foster Premier Division
The Hornets had a good 3-2 win away to St Aidans Black Cats. Again it was an awful pitch but the lads battled really hard to stay up the top end of the table.

U15s
Juniors were away to Whiteleas and took an early lead with a goal from Jack Parker but lost their momentum after pressuring Whiteleas for the first 30 min to conceed 2 quick goals going in 2 - 1 down at half time. Second half saw Whiteleas further their lead with an early goal, Hebburn dug in creating chance after chance and were rewarded with goals from Cameron Watson and Jake Brooman to pull the game back to a 3 - 3 thriller.

The Golds started off the new campaign with a resounding 3-1 win at home to Horsley Hill.

Due to sickness and injuries The wasps were down to 10 players .
Despite the disadvantage the lads played really well , worked for each other , dominated for most of the game and came out a with a deserved 2-1 victory .

The Hornets v Hetton. This was a Lge cup game between Div 1 leaders & Premier Lge leaders. 2 good footballing teams who like to play quick counter attacking football.
Hetton taking an early lead into half time, Hebburn then came back with goals from Will Harris and Ethan Donaghy giving Hebburn the lead.  Hetton equalised with 5 mins to go taking the game into extra time.  Hetton stepped up taking a 4 - 2 lead in a well fought and thrilling match.
