Pretty in pink
Firstly the club are proud to announce our partnership with Teenage Cancer Trust...more details will follow soon.
To show our support all the coaches will now be decked out in the new 'Fluorescent Pink' training kit... we like to stand out from the crowd here at HTJ.
As part of our Fun Day on 18th July we launched the new kit.
I think everyone who attended the day had a great time...some more than others ;-)
Well done to all the participants in the Sports Day events and the coaches v U18 match.
Here are a few photo's to look at. We will let you know when all the photo's have been uploaded.

North East 'Goalie Wars' Champ 2015
A Massive well done to David McVittie of the U11 Blues who entered North East Goalie wars in Sunderland on Sun July 19th. This event attracted entrants from across the whole of the North East from Berwick in the North to Middlesbrough in the south of the region and even a full squad of goalkeepers from Denmark at different age levels.
Basically the premise of goalie wars is that Goalkeepers play against each other on a small pitch where they have 6 seconds to score past the opposition keeper by shooting normally, shooting out of your hands or throwing but you cannot enter the opposition half so it is testing the full range of kicking and throwing skills before then getting ready to try and save the opposition goalkeepers efforts.
The day saw some spectacular shooting and some unbelievable saves.
David topped his group and went the full day undefeated before great wins in the semis and in the Final where David won on a sudden death goal after 8 pm at night.
Fantastic achievement David...we are all proud of you, well done !

Cymru Cup 2015
Joe Ames is a product of HTJ Tots section who now plays for NUFC academy team at U14 level.
Joe was selected by the Welsh Football Trust to play in a Tournament at Dragon Park National Football Development Centre on 27th and 28th May.
It was quite a big deal to be asked as eligible boys from teams all over the country were in the running. This included boys from Liverpool, Everton, Leeds, Swansea City and many more.
The boys were narrowed down to 4 teams who played each other over the two days.
Joe had a fantastic time, played really well and to top it all his team won the Tournament!
It was a proud few days for the Ames family to watch Joe walk out in his Wales strip and sing the National Anthem...even though he didn't know the words.

Big Thanks
A big Thank You to James Fisher and Sons plc for generously sponsoring the U7 Blues Madrid with some winter jackets and hats,
The club and all of the kids really appreciate it...I am sure when the bad weather returns the lads will be relying on the gear heavily.

Well done Luke
The club are over the moon to announce another one of our HTJ stars has been offered a contract with a professional football league club.
Luke Duffy has played for HTJ Blues teams since he left our Tots section and now at U11s will be playing for Hartlepool United academy team.
HTJ coach John McVittie says "This is great news for Luke, all of his team mates are chuffed for him. Luke has been a great member of the squad since the team first started playing at U7s. I am sure we will see Luke and his family still coming along and supporting HTJ whenever they can".
The club are very proud of you Luke, well done and good luck in your next 'footballing' step.
